Indian Trail's Veterans Memorial Garden, Indian Trail NC: Designed & managed by former Town manager Mr. Patrick Sadek, P.E., constructed by Town staff & 7 specialty contractors. Funded by The Town, the Rotary Club, and funds raised by proceeds from selling  carved veterans names & a gulf tournament. Improvements included construction materials that matched the newly constructed Town Hall. The memorial is surrounded by a garden that contains a variety of landscaping materials hand-picked to fit the surrounding environment. The memorial is lighted at night by an elaborate lighting system that can change colors remotely. Mr. Sadek's intent was to offer an environmental, sustainable, interactive, new genre, and curated piece of public art. The project socially engaged diverse audiences (e.g. the school board, the rotary club, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and staff). The memorial drew a large crowd during the opening ceremony and continually attract visitors on daily basis.
